Site Work

A well laid foundation is the key to long term success and enjoyment in any project. We aim to help you in any stage of your property’s development. For new construction, we can come in and create a base of deep, rich organic matter that will take seeding and develop a much more sustainable lawn. For established properties, we can remove sandy, clay or compacted soils and provide a soft bed for superior perennial growth. For raised bed gardening, we can layer in a self-sustaining “lasagne” of materials to keep grow the healthiest produce with the minimum effort. And for driveways, we can ensure minimal impact to your surrounding land with deep drainage and strong construction.

Brush Clearing

For removing trees and underbrush, we bring our specialty forestry mower which grinds anything with a 6” or less diameter flush to the forest floor. As we move through the space, all these chippings are spread behind to create the natural mulch layer needed to suppress most weed growth. Above that 6” diameter, we can use a stump grinder to individually attend to remaining stumps.

Stump Removal

If complete removal of the collar and roots is needed, we have excavators of all sizes to remove stumps. We can dispose of them on site, or truck them off site so they’re no longer an issue.

Grading

Whether you need to pitch water away from a structure or smooth out an area to build or plant, we provide grading of all types. We can power rake to deeply de-thatch lawns and to create the final smooth surface of the final grade for new lawns.

Bed Preparation

For perennials and vegetables, we offer new bed creation and existing bed renovation. We dig out and truck out any poor or compacted soil and replace it with compost or a custom soil blend. This allows for superior root formation and significantly reduces plant stress and disease versus an undernourished/overcompressed substrate.

Driveways

We offer gravel, stone and reclaimed asphalt driveways. New construction includes creating the right foundation to ensure good drainage, and a compact base to create a solid framework. For existing driveways, we grade for potholes, top up material and roll to compact.

We like to talk dirt.
